This video covers fan clearances when installing multiple fans. We’ll also discuss clearances for wall or column mounted fans and some mobile products.
Are you installing more than one fan in a space? If yes, it’s important to follow the guidelines for spacing when installing the fans, to ensure safe and effective operation. The center-to-center distance between each fan should be at least 2.5 times the fan’s diameter.
Next we’ll look at clearances for fans mounted on walls or columns. Measure the distance from the highest and lowest part of the fan’s cage to the ceiling deck, floor, or major obstruction to airflow. The clearance from the ceiling should be equal to or greater than two feet. For mobile fans, and fans mounted to columns or walls, the clearance from obstructions to airflow should be equal to or greater than two feet.
For fans mounted to walls or columns, the distance from the floor, should be equal to, or greater than, ten feet.
In addition to the specific requirements for installing multiple fans, and column and wall mounted fans, be sure to adhere to all general guidelines, when installing Big Ass Fans.
