This video covers clearances when installing Haiku, i6, and es6 fans.
This video includes detailed tables and drawings. Please pause the video at any point for extra viewing time. You can also view these tables and drawings in the Fan Distance Guidelines PDF.
Are you installing a Haiku, i6, or es6 fan? If yes, it’s important to follow these clearance and distance guidelines.
First, you’ll need to determine the fan’s model and diameter. Then, identify the guidelines for your model in this chart.
First, let’s look at the clearance from the ceiling. Measure the distance from the top of the airfoil to the ceiling deck or major obstruction to airflow.
Next, you’ll need to measure the distance to any obstruction to airflow to ensure you have enough clearance.
The line noted as A, shows the distance from the floor. You’ll also need this measurement.
Measure the distance from the tip of the airfoil to the wall. The line noted as B, shows the distance to the wall.
Are you installing more than one fan in a space? The center-to-center distance between each fan should be at least 2.5 times the fan’s diameter.
In addition to the specific requirements for installing Haiku, i6, and es6 fans, including multiple fans, be sure to adhere to all general guidelines when installing Big Ass Fans.
